Pontia by <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/k/o/k…" alt=":iconkorrox:" title="korrox" /> is an example of a delicate and gentle art of composing.
That's how a picture of nearly panoramic size can be built around one single seashell.
It's only then when you notice the delicately detailed bubbles of the foam, the graininess of the narrow stretch of sand and understand it's a well-used, good shallow DOF.
But it all starts with the seashell, and your eye keeps coming back to this starting (and startling) point, admiring its barely visible lines again and again.

I love the compositions built on several almost parallel (but never exactly parallel!) lines.
(Here, it's three bigger lines of foam and four smaller lines on the shell)

'Pont' is an ancient Greek word for "the sea", isn't it?
